Frequently asked questions
Is this SEO?
No. SEO optimizes for search engine rankings; AEOSearch measures whether AI assistants mention and recommend you when they answer a buyer's question directly, and diagnoses what is standing in the way. The two overlap — the pages that win AI citations are often well-structured, authoritative pages — but ranking first on Google doesn't guarantee an AI assistant cites you.
Who is AEOSearch built for?
Small and medium-sized businesses, first and deliberately. The enterprise AI-visibility platforms sell contracts behind demo calls and onboarding weeks; we built the same class of measurement — grounded queries, per-engine breakdowns, evidence-backed diagnosis — to be self-serve and priced for teams without an enterprise budget. We're a young company growing our brand the same way we tell you to grow yours: by proving value, run after run. Working with businesses like yours is exactly how we plan to do it.
Which AI engines do you query?
ChatGPT and Gemini on the free scorecard; ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini on the $199 audit; all five on Full Coverage. Every answer is grounded with live web search. The free scorecard answers ChatGPT on its fast model; the $199 audit answers everything the free run did not already cover on the frontier models — GPT-5.6 Sol, Claude Sonnet 5 and Gemini 3.6 Flash. Perplexity and Grok, where a plan includes them, answer on Sonar and Grok 4.3. Gemini answers on 3.6 Flash on every tier, free included. Each report names which models each engine answered on, wherever the provider's stored response records one. The engine layer is built to add assistants as they matter to buyer research.
Why do results vary between runs?
Because AI answers are probabilistic, not lookups. We ask each question 3 times per engine and report when the samples disagreed instead of averaging it away — that's the volatility metric. Treat every report as a dated snapshot, not a permanent score.
One-time or monthly — which should I pick?
One-time if you want a diagnosis: $199 runs the full 20-question audit on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Everything your free scorecard did not already cover is answered on the frontier models — GPT-5.6 Sol, Claude Sonnet 5 and Gemini 3.6 Flash — and the answers you already have are kept rather than re-asked. $450 covers all five engines. Monthly if you want the number to move: Track ($249/mo) re-runs 20 questions across all five engines every month with a movement delta, Grow ($495/mo) widens that to 50 questions, and Command ($950/mo) runs 100 questions and includes implementation — we execute the fix plan for you. Every path starts with the same free scorecard.
How long does it take?
About 20 minutes from submitting your setup to a finished report on the standard audit — generating your questions, asking every engine on your tier 3 times each with live web search on, then scoring and diagnosing the results automatically once you approve the question set. Bigger question sets (50 or 100 on subscription plans) take proportionally longer, and monthly re-runs happen on their own.
Can my audits go into my CRM?
Yes, on paid audits. Your report has an integrations page where you connect HubSpot or Pipedrive — or any HTTPS webhook you name. Completed audits, and leads captured by our WordPress plugin, are written there automatically, with a delivery log showing the 50 most recent events from the last 90 days, how many attempts each took, and why anything still failing failed last. Credentials you paste are stored encrypted and never shown back to you beyond the last four characters; if you pick the webhook, we generate its signing secret and show it once, at connect. Connecting is optional and off by default.
How do I see my past reports?
Sign in at /login with the email you used at checkout — we email you a one-time link, no password. Your dashboard lists every property that email owns: latest measurement, movement since the last run, and the plan. Have a report from before you had an account? Paste any report link you hold into the dashboard's "Add a report you already have" box and it joins the account.
What happens after I get the fix plan?
You get a prioritized list of gaps, ordered by effort, each with the evidence and the specific fix — a page to write, a format to rebuild, a listicle to pursue, schema to add. Run it yourself, hand it to your team — or move to Command ($950/mo) and we execute it for you, then re-measure monthly to prove it moved.
